Born to bake, a short story about us

Back in 1992, two young brothers Marcin and Marek, first tried their hands at baking and immediately loved the experience. In 2002 they started their own bakery in the Polish village of Karsko using a rented oven at the local mill. They experimented with different methods until they were successful and able to produce their first bread for sale. The next chapter began in 2005 with the brothers moving to Ireland. During this time they identified a need in the Irish market, which they believed they could fill. After just one year, they opened a bakery in
Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

This is a true family affair. The Breadski Brothers now run a thriving bakery, producing wholesome and authentic baked goods baked with Polish love and using only the very best of ingredients! Their baked goods are currently delivered throughout the Republic of Ireland.The Breadski Brothers are very proud in the fact that are liked and appreciated by people everywhere. Their bread was recognised many times in the Irish Quality Food Awards in the years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Winning in the “Best Specialty Breads” category, as well as winning the 2015 Blas na hEireann award.

Sourdough Cobs

We specialise in a range of sourdough cobs. These include The Blue One - Normal Sourdough, the Red One - Seeded Sourdough and The Green One - Spelt Sourdough. Freshly baked, straight out of the oven and delivered to a store near you. There are many health benefits to sourdough over normal bread including a high fibre, minerals and vitamins content. It can aid with blood pressure, gastric problems and more!

The Breadski Brothers have just released a range of doughnuts. These are a selection of four delicious and fresh new flavours for you to try. The flavours are Rose Jam, Cheesecake, Advocaat ( Brandy Custard) and Vanilla Custard.

We are passionate about baking and committed to ‘Breaducation’, spreading an authentic and responsible baking message to the world. We want to educate you in all things Bread and Baking. How is sourdough made? What is the purpose of seeds in bread? What is the benefit of spelt?
