The Irish are slightly obsessed with breakfast rolls. There is even a song about it!
It is basically the whole contents of a full Irish stuffed into a baguette. Fillings include sausages, bacon, white or black pudding, egg, hash brown, butter, mushrooms, tomatoes; tomato sauce or brown sauce.
Sometimes these rolls are a little bit too much unless you are suffering from a hangover or on your break from the construction site. So we have created the simple Irish Brunch Burger. That doesn’t result in you needing to lie down on the sofa with food coma.
These are super easy to make, you can feed the whole family and something different from your typical fry. You can also pack them up and bring them for lunch or a picnic.
Use your favourite full Irish breakfast – sausages, bacon, white or black pudding, egg, hash brown, butter, mushrooms, tomatoes; relish, tomato sauce or brown sauce.
Prepare your ingredients like you would an Irish fry. We cooked our rasher and black pudding in the air fryer but you could also cook them in the grill or a pan.
- Add cheese to one half of the roll and pop under the grill or air fryer until melted
- Add your sauce and layer your fillings.
